Teen Journaling
An art journal is a visual diary, a space to record thoughts memories and feelings. The benefits of art journaling come from the process, ‘the doing’, the experience of creating, the opportunity to make art where there is no right or wrong .It is not about perfection we use a wide variety of materials to allow swirvy, curvy, dashes, dots, circles, lines, doodles, basically any shape that comes to mind.
Art journals are a safe place to explore and express and it realistically fits into our daily lives to help build self regulation and resilience. Making art in this way can help ease anxiety and stress. It can be a relaxing time to create freely and play, learning this skill has lifelong benefits.
